MEDIA RELEASE Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male in connection with an assault. On March 20, two males entered the Twenty Four Karats Cannabis store along the 2200 block of 5 Avenue South, but refused to provide ID. They were subsequently refused service and asked to leave. An altercation ensued and an employee was assaulted in the parking lot. A photo of the subject is included for release. Anyone who recognizes the male, or has information that could assist the investigation, is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24005028. Anonymous tips can also be submitted online to Crime Stoppers at www.p3tips.com or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay cash for information leading to an arrest.

MEDIA RELEASE Lethbridge Police have charged three people in connection with an incident where a male was assaulted in a southside yard. On March 26, at approximately 8 p.m., police responded to a report of a group of people fighting in the backyard of a residence along the 1000 block of 12 Street South. Upon arrival, officers located an injured 35-year-old male in the alley. He was transported to hospital by EMS with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Subjects inside the home refused to exit and police subsequently obtained and executed a warrant to enter. Six people were taken into custody without incident and during a search, police seized a shovel and baseball bat believed to have been used in the assault. The investigation determined the parties involved are known to one another. Tiffany Joy Hood, 45, of Lethbridge, is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of an offensive weapon. Jocko Slade Trotter, 36, of Lethbridge, is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of an offensive weapon. Jyi Mickell Trotter, 44, of Lethbridge, is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of an offensive weapon and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. All three subjects were remanded in custody to appear in court today. In addition, a 29-year-old female was charged with matters unrelated to the assault and two other females were released without charges.

MEDIA RELEASE Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a missing 17-year-old girl. Zarah Big Swallow was last seen March 24. Efforts to locate her have been unsuccessful and police are concerned for her well-being. A photo of Big Swallow is included for release. Anyone who has seen Zarah Big Swallow, or has information on her whereabouts, is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24005365.
